Suhana’s Corner: Are on-screen characters so real?



There comes a time when the on-screen characters are identified so deeply that viewers feel they are real. They form a life of their own and the viewers sometimes refuse to believe that they don’t actually exist. This is the dilemma I have been facing for the past week or so.
First, I wasn’t feeling comfortable enacting the character of Gauri because she takes on all the insults and ill-treatment by her family, her husband and MIL. But my director told me that it is just a job.
